There is never a right time,
To say everything you feel;
To express the sadness and regret.
The endless admonishments and recriminations.
If only, had I not, why did I ever?
The stone is out and cannot be set right.
The wall is weaker and may one day fall.
So, must one’s life be weakened by a single foolish act?
